personal philosophy
Erica is committed to utilizing her knowledge, experience, and continued learning to focus her career on improving the health, physical function, and quality of life of others.
Erica is excited by the opportunity to help individuals of all ages and abilities, to develop, maintain, or augment their physical function in order to maximize their independence and stimulate health.
Erica’s decision to choose a career in physiotherapy stems from personal experiences that exposed her to the world of physiotherapy.
From a very young age, she played many sports, including Provincial level soccer and Regional level ringette, which often required her to see physiotherapists for a wide range of injuries.
In 2017, she endured a major ACL injury and as a result, spent countless hours with physiotherapists and other health professionals who aided in her rehabilitation. As Erica experienced first-hand how her physiotherapy team was able to get her back onto the playing fields, both physically and emotionally, she was inspired to do the same for others.
